Friends of Warton School

The Friends of Warton School exists as a separate charity.

Our aims are to support the school by raising funds to pay for items which make a big difference to the experience of the children in the school. As a village school, the official budget is always fully stretched, so the Friends raise money to buy extras. We are proud of our achievements so far. Here are some of them:

  • The canopy above the Willow play area
  • The log play areas at the front and back of the school
  • New chairs for the classrooms
  • New sports equipment

Our main events every year are the very popular Summer Fayre and Christmas Fayre. These are a big hit with parents and children, and the summer fayre also attracts stalls from other groups in the village. We also organise a variety of social events such as fish and chip suppers, quizzes and even an occasional "Ladies' Night" where Mums could enjoy having their nails painted, relaxing, and choosing from a range of beauty products!

How Can You Help?

All these events are only possible thanks to our supporters and volunteers. We are always pleased to hear from parents who would be willing to give a little of their time to help us out, either on the committee or for events. Please contact any of the people listed below via the school.

Of course we are always very grateful to receive cash donations (which you can Gift Aid to add even more value to your gift). We will be happy to put your name on the school website for a year as a sponsor, which may be of particular interest if you run a business locally. Of course if you would rather remain anonymous we will respect your wishes.
